How much am I LOVING the spring 09 collections? Way too much is unfortunately the answer to that question. I am finding that my whole day is taken up with me imagining all these to die for garments on me, or hanging them in a massive walk in closet (that I of course I don't have sadly enough) It just isn't fair that runway shows are shown a season ahead of time. I mean is it just me or should this be considered a form of cruel and unusual punishment? I'm already in the mood for spring and summer hasn't even ended. oh sigh. I suppose I'm just going to have to stick it out until. Meanwhile if you happen to run into me in the near future, it will most likely be around a computer where ill be dreaming and goggling until spring rolls around.
But, fortunately theres more to come so stay tuned!
Spring already here!? What's a fashionista to do?!
Well well well...what have we here!
Take a gander at my favorite looks I just so happen to stumble upon...lucky me!

Alessandra Facchinetti's the new Valentino didnt you know?
Man oh man is what I keep saying every time I view a new look from the Valentino fall 2008 couture line. This Alessandra Facchinetti really knows what she is doing, yes? I'm sure I'm not the only one of you "sugar-ettes" who nearly tripped over a flight of stairs in her new Louboutins when she heard the ghastly news that Mr. Valentino was set to retire. I thought to myself as I was tumbling downward, "how can this be? I'm certainly not even close to saying au revoir to his glorious designs!" But the worst was true. Watching his emotional and beautiful final runway show didn't help matters either. How could anyone ever replace him? Well I will be the first to admit that although Facchinetti did replace Mr. Valentino, she certainly isn't mimicking him at all. Instead she is making a name for herself (although under the Valentino logo of course...) and showing the crowd that she can keep the elegance in the house of Valentino. I for one am happy to applaud this lovely lady for stepping up to the challenge and surprising us all in a very very good way. And she even threw us fashionistas a bone by giving us a signature red dress that proves shes still a Valentino girl at heart.

Once, twice, three times a lady...or three times a repeater?
With all the celebrities that are constantly grazing the covers of magazines in their new Balenciaga, Gucci, Valentino (etc...) one may think to themselves, man that ensemble that "so and so" has on is AMAZING! And maybe it is very wonderful. But my question to you all is, what if this same celeb is shown again in the same look or item? What then? Still stunning? It seems that if any star is shown wearing the same wardrobe they are thrown in some two page "special" on "this is their favorite look"...um...."so what?", is what i find myself yelling while I read this nonsense. In my personal opinion it is such a shame that such beautifully crafted and coveted pieces should only be shown to the public once. When and where did this trend of tossing garments out the door after one time use begin? It doesn't prove to anyone that you're rich. It just proves that you aren't appreciating the garment(s). My advice to you all is to continue to wear your beautiful pieces, once, twice, and oh heck, maybe three times in front of the same people. And if your worried about people talking....they just wish they had your outfit so they could wear it over and over too!

P.S. Opinions on style repeating?
Oh my dear dear Christian Dior!
Have any of you lovely "sugar-ettes" checked out the latest couture shows? Well if not, you absolutely must high tail it over to the nearest computer and take a look-sey. If you have been lucky enough to sneak a peak at the shows then you have to know how amazing the Christian Dior show is, yes? Its very very modern yet oh so classic! With an almost 50's-ish look to it that gave the fashionable the feeling of the classic, and odd hard shapes at unusual places to give the feel of the modern. Complete opposites that create an amazing harmony I think! Sir Galliano does it again....Take a look:
This may be the best classic-modern combo. Christian Dior Fall 2008 couture.
Beautiful color if I say so myself. Christian Dior Fall 2008 couture.
Big Bow =love....Christian Dior Fall 2008 couture.

So this is love....
So as I was updating myself on the most recent of designer collections (a.k.a resort 2009) and I just so happen to stumble upon quite a few pieces that I wouldn't mind hanging up in my tiny little closet. Is it Christmas yet? My birthday isn't coming up until October....oh well. No gift excuse in sight. If only, if only I made more mula at my fun little job...oh dear. Well until I can gather up the troops ( my family, friends, or boyfriend) to purchase me a "just because your great" gift, I shall have to stay glued to my humble computer and try and find a cheaper approach to fulfilling this gap in my wardrobe. Take a peak at the brilliant pieces:
Just a little punch of color with a wide leg. Louis Vuitton resort 2009.
Simple sheath to concur the heat. Brian Reyes resort 2009.
Im in love with the accessories. Alexander Wang resort 2009.
